How does The Guadalupe run?
True to size, with a more traditional tall-shaft fit. If you're between sizes and you have a higher arch, go down half. The shaft circumference accommodates most calves; if you've struggled with tall boots, the Guadalupe is more forgiving than most.
Is The Guadalupe comfortable enough for all-day wear?
Yes — the cowhide is supple from day one and our cushioned insole carries you. Break-in is slightly longer than The Rainey (closer to five wears) because there's no zip-up to relieve the ankle.
How do I break in The Guadalupe?
The pull-tab tall shaft takes a few wears to soften around the ankle. Wear them around the house for an hour or two at a time for the first week. By wear five, you'll forget you're wearing boots.
How do I care for the cowhide?
Premium cowhide loves neutral leather conditioner — once a month if you wear them often, every couple months otherwise. Anejo Nightcap Brown and Cask Strength Dark Brown develop a beautiful patina with use; don't over-polish them. Dead Man's Kiss Black is the lowest-maintenance of the three.
