All About The Lake Austin

Austin has beautiful weather about 8 months out of the year. But for 4 (sometimes 5) months, it can be hellishly hot. Soul-crushingly hot. Luckily, it also has plenty of places to cool off: lakes, rivers, swimming holes (for swimming), watering holes (for boozing), shady trails, and more.

The footwear of choice for the blistering months (and most other months) is the flip-flop. As all locals know, having the wind on your toes makes it feel 10 degrees cooler. You can wear flip-flops pretty much anywhere and not feel out of place. The nicest restaurant in town. College graduation. A board meeting. Your arraignment for that little misunderstanding down on 6th Street about the legality of pedicab surfing.

    My fiance bought me a pair of these 4 yrs ago and I still have not worn them out yet! I will definitely be buying another pair!!

    Best Flip Flops I’ve ever had

    Instant comfort the moment I put them on! I thought it was a little odd that a boot company makes flip flops, but I totally get it now. I loved my 2 pairs of boots so much that I had to give the flip flops a try, and now I’m hooked. I will never buy flip flops anywhere else.

    Just what I wanted.
