    Everything they promised, everything I wanted

    Folks, just get a pair of got these Shaken not Stirred sight unseen in person with a size 12 EE. What they say you are getting is what will be sent to you. Somewhat stiff in the sole with years ahead of it in use. Normally a Tecovas guy with 10 pairs (size 12.5 EE) ranging from Ostrich, gator, anaconda, goat, suede to everything in the middle - needless to say I know good boots. From the drop into them the first time I knew I had made a great choice. Can’t wait to antique them more with use on the weekends to events, work, or just out and about. Thanks, Alvies.

    Cool boots but…

    This is the first pair of boots I have bought from Alvies, I own 8 pairs with this one. I really like the comfort, color, and style, however I feel that the description of the leather of the boots as off. The leather almost feels like a rough out, but it’s actually a nubuck in texture. Which is cool for a boot but if I knew that I wouldn’t have bought them.

    Shoal Creek

    I purchased the comal back in 2022 loved the snip toe because it was different but took an unusual amount of time to break in. I purchased the The Shoal Creek in August of 2025 and wore them the first time 10 hours straight right out of the box. Very comfortable, love them.

    Answered Prayer

    As a woman with a large foot - size 13 - I’ve searched high and low for a men’s boot that didn’t look too masculine. Women’s boots are made to size 12 max! Pointy toes made my feet look even longer. Almond toes were okay but still caused foot pain (why are we forcing toes into a position that causes pain?!) Heels were too square and I’d have them altered for a softer angle. I have fancy and expensive Tecovas that were only appropriate for special occasions.

    I returned from a trip to Iowa and decided I need a pair of comfy every day ‘shit kickers.’ as I live in California, I wanted something that I could ride in as well as throw on with cut off shorts and make a statement. I found Alvie and took a chance on these boots in brown size 11.5

    To all the Bigfoot ladies out there, do it!

    This boot solves all our problems. Comfy toe box, attractive heel. If I got them in My Husband’s size, I’m sure they’d look sexy on him too. The brown is perfect with no red. A true classic versatile dusty camel.

    Not sure how you did it, Alvie’s, but thank God you did!

    I look forward to more styles with this toe box and would encourage you to include female sizes on some of your styles that can appeal to both men and ladies.

    There is a hungry market of big footed ladies out there who are underserved when it comes to shoes styles AND you can crush it!

Putting on a cowboy boot may not give you a southern drawl, but the Shoal Creek just might.
